Frozen Jello Pops

So, we bought ice pop molds from the dollar store the other day, and I was just DYING to try them out. The hubster is a HUGE popsicle fanatic, so I was excited to make our own!

So what did I do? I hit up google for some ideas. Now, there are a LOT of recipes out there using jello mix to make popsicles. Many of them are exactly the same. While I was looking, I somehow managed to find the ONE recipe that is only in one place.

I looked all over, and could only find this version in one location: here.

This version basically has double the water than the others. I know that doesn't sound good AT ALL, but trust me. It's delish. AND. It has the best texture ever. It's basically somewhere in between sherbet and regular popsicles.

For this size, it made us about 16 ice pops (2 dollar store molds) with a little left over.

And the best part is, they are hubster approved!

The Recipe:

What You Need:

2 Cups boiling water
1 package Jello gelatin, any flavor (4-serving size)
1/2 Cup sugar
2 Cups cold water

What You Do:

Combine the gelatin and sugar in a medium bowl. Stir in the boiling water for about 2 minutes, until it's completely dissolved. Then stir in the cold water. Pour into molds and freeze for about 2 hours or until almost firm. Insert sticks or spoons as a handle (skip this if you have a mold with these built in, like mine!). Freeze for 8 hours, or overnight, until firm. Enjoy!

My Experience:

Yummy, delish. End of story. Go make them. Now. You won't regret it!
