Sweet, Salty, Minty. It's Christmas on a pretzel in your mouth.

Posting this here so I can find it again next year. 😄

I wrote this post for another blog a while back, but I wanted it here too so that I can allllwwayys make these every Christmas.

You know something, I don't even have a name for these. We just threw them together one year and they turned out so well we've done it again every year after that! If you have any good suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

These are seriously so simple to make. Take a quick jaunt through your grocery store and pick up three things: square pretzels, white chocolate melting wafers, and Mint M&Ms.

Line a cookie sheet or two with parchment paper, then lay out pretzels in an even layer with no overlapping. Then, top the pretzels with the white chocolate melting wafers.

Pop them in the oven at 200° for a few minutes until they're soft, but not completely melted. We live at a high altitude, and 4 minutes 30 seconds ended up just about right. When they're ready they'll look a little like this:

Top each melty chocolate circle with a Mint M&M, then let them cool off completely. I usually stick mine in the fridge for a while until they're hard. You'll know they're ready when they come off the parchment paper without leaving blobs of chocolate behind.

The best part about this recipe is that it's basically impossible for the ingredients to come out even, so there's always snacks while you wait for them to cool!

These are always a hit at our place, I hope you like them too!

Sweet and Salty Mint Christmas Treats

12oz bag Snyders of Hanover Butter Snaps Square Pretzels
2 9.6oz bags Mint M&Ms
2 10oz bags Ghirardelli Chocolate White Melting Wafers

Instructions:

Preheat Oven to 200 degrees.
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Lay out pretzels in an even layer, making sure none are overlapping.
3. Place one chocolate wafer on each pretzel.
4. Bake for 3-5 minutes, watching closely. Remove from oven when chocolate is shiny and melted but still holding its shape.
5. Working quickly, press one M&M into each chocolate wafer.
6. Allow to cool completely before removing from baking sheet.

Be prepared to hide the box if you want some for later!
