Did you see the solar eclipse? We did! We made a *very* makeshift pin-hole viewer with some paper and my To-Do List Greenboard (like a whiteboard, only better). It looked pretty cool!
The best part about it was that while we were outside we got to meet some new neighbors. They live across the street in a tiny little studio/house. And they seem pretty cool. When the clouds threatened to throw off our groove, they ran and got some sunglasses, which we layered three-deep (not the approved method) then took turns looking for a split second at a time to see where it was at.
Then the Perkins' came over with all their kids (and some DELICIOUS peanut butter cookies... seriously, they were divine. I need the recipe.) and we all talked for a while till the eclipse was close enough to over that we were over it.
