Home is where the... student... is...

Picture this. We're sitting around the table at the cabin playing Apples to Apples. The word is "Pathetic". The older brother lays down "Moving in with your parents".

We all get a good chuckle. Eric looks a little abashed (as much as possible for that guy) when he realizes that's exactly what Nick and I had both done.

hehe.

No harm, no foul. We all thought it was pretty hilarious. Although... our presence did cost him the win.
(hehe again)

Basically, here's how it went.

Nick gets job.
Nick moves to never-never-land (aka 3 hours away).
Nick moves into parent's house in never-never-land while house is being built.
Becca finishes contract in basement apartment.
Becca moves to Sojo.
Becca moves into parent's house in Sojo while finishing her semester.

So yeah. That thing I said I would never do? I did it. Fortunately, it was very not painful. AND... I managed to have a little fun while I was there in between finishing up 16 credits of a bachelor's degree.

Here's some of the things I did:

I studied. A lot. (This is just 2 weeks' worth of homework)

I took occasional study breaks to scratch an ear or a chin.

I got free slurpies with the little bro on 7-11.

I got ma nails did.

I got flowers from the hubsters for our anniversary since he couldn't be there.

I made cool domino buildings with my niece and nephew. Apparently this one is my and Nick's house.

I exercised my obsession with fresh peaches.
I got a weird smiley-face indent on my knee.

And I finally finished my paper chain. *Yay!*
In addition... I made caramel, flubber, and dinner mints. :D

NOW just think of all the fun things I'll be able to do when we have our own place again! Can't wait!

Maybe I should make another paper chain...
