The Padres: Part II

Guess what? We have our own place!
Kindanotreally

We're now in the basement of his parent's house while our house is being built. They've been amazing, and so understanding. They offered us their entire basement, which meant giving up their family room, office, craft/sewing center, and big screen TV. I really feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family. :)

This is our front door:

Momma Dennis makes me laugh... she says instead of knocking you just walk up to the curtain and clap.

I've spent so much of my time moving around this summer that I've gotten used to feeling displaced. I'm hoping that when we have a home of our own again it'll feel a little more like the normal we had a year ago instead of the normal we've had for the past few months.

Despite the continuous temporary living conditions, we have been having a lot of fun here!

Since moving out here, our little guys have developed an alternative sleeping style. It  makes me laugh every time.

We've seen a couple of this summer's fires. (This is the one by Jordanelle)

With the help of a broken golf club and a trash can, we caught a snake!
Don't worry. We let it go in the garden so it could eat all the bugs.

We eat SO GOOD! Momma Dennis is an excellent cook... and sometimes she lets us grill dinner.

We take Darcilu for occasional rides on the golf cart. Aside from chasing squirrels, it's her favorite. The beep it makes in reverse is better at getting her attention than the word "treat"!

We even went clothes shopping with Nick's brother and his wife. She's THE BEST! Thanks to her... I bought new clothes for myself for the first time in over a year. (If you want to see... we have pictures coming soon!)
PS To the Sis... I still don't hate you for helping me spend money. I think you're awesome. :)

We like this place.

We're finally together again, and yet another step closer to our home!
