Woohoo! After 5 hours (I wish I was kidding about that) of fighting, my phone finally will connect to my computer! The Hubs helped. Mucho. Gracias hubsters.
Victory! Now I can put up all the pictures I've been taking of our house!
Here you go!
Cheap Date: Spray-paint the backs of speaker cans. The smiley face is mine (the tape ripped, hence the
weird eyebrow thing he's got going on), and the spray paint +
finger paint creation is the hubster's.
The hubs took a picture of me helping install the speaker boxes in the bathroom. I know it's a super glam-shot, and that my form isn't perfect. Don't judge.
We found this in the house while we were there. The hubster says it's just a construction leftover. I'm convinced aliens visited our home and left us a housewarming gift. ;)
This is a long-distance shot of the outside when they were prepping for stucco. At the time this photo was taken, I was hyperventilating and/or bouncing in my seat because I couldn't handle the anticipation anymore.
Our builder gave us a stucco sample, which we promptly held in every type of light we could think of to try to get an idea of what the house would look like. The hubster was nervous, I was hypertensive.
Then they put the base layer on our house. This made me even more anxious!

Aw... Look at our cute little house. :)
A couple days later, we drove past in the evening and saw that all of our stucco and rocks had been delivered! We braved the cold night and took pictures of anything and everything we could find.

Some actual cans of unmixed stucco color. (These made my stress levels jump even higher)
The next day it looked like this!
And they had the back porch framed in to get the cement poured!
A couple days later they had put on the rocks and the garage door! Glory be, it looks like a house!

We're thinking about buying a decorative Carriage House kit for the garage after we move in.
Today we drove by and they have the driveway and garage door pad framed, so they'll be pouring cement soon!
We're still trying to decide how to stain our front door. We planned on leaving it the natural color with a clear stain, but then the rocks came from a really tan dye lot, and now we're thinking we might want to do something darker on the door to give it some depth.
Help! Tell me what you think!

Love it! I kind of feel like I'm getting to build a house through you:) So fun!
