My favorite moment with the electrician was when I pointed out this sign and said "I like what you've done with the place!"
He looked really embarrassed and took them down and threw them outside. We just laughed and told him we thought it was hilarious!
Remember this shoe from the last post? The high school out here had its homecoming dance last weekend, and we honestly thought it was a leftover from a night of partying in our defenseless house. (yuck)
We were so relieved after we talked to him. As he was throwing it outside he told us that the shoe was actually from one of the workers! Our house is still clean! Apparently the shoe was stuck in one of their tires somehow, and they brought it in to show their buddies because they thought it was funny.
Phew! Dodged a bullet there!
After the electrician left, I stole the stuff and put it back up so I could take a picture. We needed a record of the first decoration to be hung in our home! XD
One more thing.
I've been trying to wait and just post house pictures together in a big group so this blog doesn't turn into a giant "Picture-a-day" record of random things in our house.
BUT. When I saw this baby sitting in our garage I went gaga and knew I HAD to take a picture. I am so excited about our front door! I have ALWAYS wanted a wood front door, so when our builder told us we could have one for the same price as the one on the plan, I almost cried.
I think Buddy sums it up perfectly.
No but really. I can't get over my door. We get to choose the stain we want put on it, so I am NOT PATIENTLY waiting to see how our stucco turns out before we choose the stain color.
The hubster threatened today to take away my computer and phone so I'll stop looking up "Glidden Napa Valley" and obsessing over what the stucco will look like.
I can't help it, I'm so nervous!
Just a few more days and the suspense will be over!
