1. I have the paperwork all prepared. With all the school I missed from the illness and surgery, I discovered that it is going to be impossible for me to continue with my classes this semester. I have an academic merit scholarship, which requires that I keep my GPA above either a 3.6 or a 3.8 (I can't remember exactly). With the amount of assignments and tests I missed while gone, it's going to be impossible to get my grades up where they need to be to stay within the parameters of my scholarship. Luckily, I can put my scholarship on hold for a semester, and get it back when I return next fall (it doesn't cover summer terms), but until then the jokes about being the lazy college drop-out roommate have already begun! :)
2. For those that were unaware, Artemis the Betta Fish's funeral will be held today at 6:30 pm. Refreshments (Goldfish, Swedish fish, and Gummy Sharks) will be served after the services. I was asked to say a few words tonight, so I put together a poem.
Artemis was a fish from the mighty blue sea
To pass the time she would stare at me
Two glossy eyes
And purple-blue scales
You were the size of a goldfish
But had the heart of a whale
